Fulbright Program celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Since its inception, more than 400,000 people have participated in the Fulbright Program. There are 39 heads of state or government, 60 Nobel Prize winners, 88 Pulitzer Prize winners and 16 U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients among Fulbright alumni. The J. William Fulbright Commission for Educational Exchange in the Slovak Republic was established in 1994. Since then, over 350 Slovak awardees have had the opportunity to study, teach or conduct research in the U.S and nearly 400 American students, scholars, and professionals have been awarded Fulbright grants in a variety of academic fields in Slovakia.

The work of the Fulbright Commission’s office adapts to the current situation, therefore our activities are almost fully virtual.
